Old Street Yard

Old Street Yard is a new public courtyard that will open up the space between City Road and Mallow Street, enhancing the lifestyle of those who work at White Collar Factory campus, as well as those who pass through the area.

Accessible to the public via several traditional London passageways, Old Street Yard is home to restaurants and residential apartments, creating a new urban environment to transform the character of the neighbourhood.

For the occupants of the low rise units that surround Old Street Yard, the courtyard will act as a hub for socialising and sharing ideas. Tree-lined and featuring grassed seating areas with public art, the entire area will be Wi-Fi enabled to create an inspiring working space.

Zutec got involved on this project to provide Operational & Maintenance co-ordination as well as providing our onsite management tool. Using the Zutec online platform the client, consultants, main contractor and subcontractor could access their own pre-defined folder structure, upload files and offer their handover information for review. Zutec provided training and support to all parties on how to access and upload information to the platform.

During the construction phase Zutec’s onsite tool was used in the Quality Control/Quality Assurance process managing snags and defects onsite. Using the automatic notification feature on Zutec, the contractor was notified daily about the observations raised by the client team.
