WorkSafe, Malop Street

Geelong - Australia

A 14 storey A-Grade commercial tower above the historic Dalgety & Co building in Geelong. The project will see WorkSafe Victoria relocate its headquarters, and over 700 staff, to Victoria's second-largest city.

The development will also deliver secure on-site parking, basement, a ground floor cafe, on-site concierge, rooftop exercise and BBQ areas, and a club style end-of-trip facility with 100+ bike racks. It will create 14,000m² of high quality office accommodation, exceeding PCA A-Grade standards and with a Six Star Green Star Rating. 1 Malop Street will proudly claim the title of the tallest building in Geelong's CBD.

Zutec was engaged to manage the complex handover of this facility which included all Digital Operation and Maintenance Manuals data. In addition, the platform was used to manage, track and report on the Greenstar requirements of the project.

From a quality perspective, the team used the Zutec's Snagging & Defect Management application to track all activities of their predetermined site areas. The percentage complete of each site activity was an input on the mobile device whilst completing site inspections. This data was synced to the Zutec Online platform and a detailed progress report based on Room/Area by Activity displayed the live progress of completed works.

The project also managed the collection and management of all defects and Fire Penetration data throughout the construction phase with Zutec Snagging & Defect Management application.
