Regional Sales Team Manager

About the role

Zutec is seeking to add a consultative and reward-oriented Regional Sales Manager to their growing Sales team in the UK. The growth and opportunity for our Products in the UK market means we are ready to specialise our Sales team by persona – in particular this role will focus on the Developer/Owner segment of the Construction and Property market.

The ideal candidate will possess strong sales, communication and organisational skills. They excel in an environment where they can be personally responsible for the full Sales cycle, from prospecting new leads, through nurture and development to a successful close. The OTE for this role is generous and uncapped to ensure we reward overachievers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Personally create new leads from prospecting efforts in your target market and personas
• Take an account-based approach – nurture Head Office for Enterprise agreements while closing individual project deals
• Build, maintain and apply a high-level knowledge of the Zutec Technology Products
• Using your consulting and presenting skills to work with the Pre-Sales team to demonstrate tailored Product solutions to individual clients
• Keep CRM system fully up-to date following the MEDDICC methodology (training provided)
• Close with all stakeholders to bring your deals to a timely win
• Work with the Head of Sales to plan your deal development and closes
• Work with Marketing to make sure you have the collateral you need to succeed.

Candidate requirements:

• Track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas – typically targeting 1M or more annually
• Experience selling complex software solutions, ideally to construction or property industry
• New logo enterprise software experience
• An aptitude for and understanding of technology
• Ability to learn quickly with a customer-centric mindset
• An understanding of and appreciation for the importance of nurturing relationships throughout the Sales cycle
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to generate own leads and pipeline, without relying on inbound activity
• Ability to develop and close deals in a timely manner
• Excellent stakeholder management

Principal Job Elements & Responsibilities

• Leading the Account Management team (currently 2 in the team), closing hosting Enterprise deals yourself and coaching the team in opportunity spotting at accounts, nurture and close of Zutec’s cloud-based software and associated services to the Construction sector with a primary focus on Contractors, Developers, Asset Owners and Housebuilders.
• To be a player/coach where you will be responsible for hitting the team target and incentivised to help your team close deals as well as close your own deals.
• Managing a team of 2 Account Managers which is likely to be expanded in the near-term.
• You will enjoy working towards targets and managing the team according to agreed KPIs.
• To ensure activity is always correctly directed with a daily or several times a week meeting of your team
• To be in charge of all aspects of Account Management for the global team including prospecting, deal nurture and close for Existing Business Upsells, Renewals and Conversions.
• You will need to be able to manage a large pipeline of opportunities across the team while making sure we also large Enterprise accounts for future deals.
• Hire, train and develop team members.

Job requirements

About the role

Working in a high-energy, fast-growing scale-up business that digitises data to drive efficiency, quality and growth across construction and the built environment, you will join the Build Data Group marketing team in the capacity of ABM Manager. By partnering with the commercial team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Building out, owning and executing against targeted marketing plans that align with strategic account plans, and meet the growth objectives of the business, primarily for our brand Zutec.
  • Deliver campaigns that enhance the customer experience and drive demand—so helping land accounts and expand them.
  • Undertake and analyse market and customer research, to develop customer and buyer segmentation and personas, use cases, sales tools and assets that underpin customer marketing.
  • Formulate account-specific and actionable content that builds awareness and engages accounts, and positions the company’s unique value.
  • Present and demonstrate the company’s products, services and solutions to key audiences own key accounts.
  • Using clearly defined success metrics and KPIs to track and report results and success.
  • Liaising with other marketing colleagues to ensure the delivery of agreed priorities.

Main Duties:

  • Working with the CMO, define a scalable ABM strategy, process and programmatic approach to generate account-based awareness and engagement that helps set sales up for success.
  • Partner with sales and the leadership team to identify priority key accounts against a set of criteria, then segment these into tiers for planning and outreach purposes.
  • Conduct and analyse market and customer research to understand the customer journey, needs and pain points, that informs your strategy and plans, and helps develop customer and buyer segmentation and personas, use cases and assets that accounts can relate to.
  • Embed into key accounts to identify opportunities and champions, and build out, own and manage annual account-based plans and playbooks that drive strong partnerships to deliver revenue opportunities.
  • Develop multi-touch, targeted campaigns that reach, resonate with, and engage decision-makers in key accounts to increase sales velocity, accelerate account activation, generate new business, create cross-sell and up-sell pipeline, and retain customers. This can be a mixture of events, personalised email, paid advertising, collaborative content and website personalisation.
  • Develop and nuance messages, content and CTAs for each key account that demonstrates our value inside the customer.
  • Drive our advocate programme to help deliver case studies and endorsement, and increase the percentage of referred customers.
  • Deliver against defined ABM metrics and account engagement scoring that increases customer lifetime value and supports company growth metrics.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly and annual reports that feed into overall marketing reports.
  • Manage the marketing budget set aside for ABM and show ROI.
  • Develop customer feedback loop to transfer knowledge and learnings back into the business, that can be embraced by sales and used for future product enhancement.
  • Have a demonstrable knowledge of BuildData Group’s products & services, and be able to present solutions in a way that shows how they can meet customers needs and overcome their challenges.

  • Writing clear, compelling and engaging copy for our target audiences across different mediums and channels for our brands Zutec, Createmaster and Bond Bryan Digital.
  • Delivering copy for campaign content including papers, research, blogs and articles that drives demand for our products and solutions.
  • Drafting and delivering sales enablement content including, but not exclusive to, brochures, fact sheets, battle cards, case studies, presentations and video storyboards.
  • Researching industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies) to ensure content and copy is topical and relevant to the industry, target markets and personas.
  • Presenting the company’s products, services and solutions to key audiences using copy, content and messages that demonstrates our value to the market.
  • Using clearly defined success metrics and KPIs to track and report results and success.
