Meet the panel

Rob Jackson, Director at Bond Bryan Digital 

Besides being the operational lead at one of the UK’s leading BIM consultancies, Rob is an ARB registered architect, a qualified BIM Manager, a renowned advocate of OpenBIM standards and the co-author of his company’s award-winning BIM blog. Throughout his career, Rob has delivered on multiple complex public and private sector projects.
In his talk, Better Information Management, Rob will offer guidance on ingraining ISO 19650 compliant practices through the design phase.

 

John Ford, BIM and Digital Information Lead at Galliford Try 

With over 15 years’ experience in information management throughout every phase of the building life cycle, John sits on the BuildingSMART COBie certification advisory board and has co-authored several books and industry published standards.

Harbouring special interests in digital processes such as CDEs, as well as open systems that support interoperability, John’s presentation, The Construction Fundamentals, will talk through the steps contractors must take to satisfy information requirements.

Jack Ostrofsky, Head of Sustainability and Design at Southern Housing Group

In a career spanning back to 2006, Jack has held various technical, project management, design and sustainability roles within the built environment sector. His work with leading housing associations including Peabody, Genesis and latterly Southern Housing Group gives him unique insight into the importance of effective information management during operation.
Jack’s talk, Information Management Challenges for Housing Associations, will reveal real world examples of common information pitfalls and how these can be overcome.
